Car Parks 2.0 “Make parking an ecosystem”.
A parking of new generation: Ecological, Eco-responsible and Economic

Every years in France (and exponentially)
66600 tons of plant protection pesticides are used, particularly for agriculture
48000 deaths attributed to fine particle pollution and automobile activity
4.5 million tons of plastic produced in the country of which only 22% recycled

Added to the phenomena mentioned above, the planet will undergo more and more intense heat waves in the years to come. Part of the solution will come from the treatment of urban soils and their capacity to accommodate living, water and air.
At a time when the question of urban development is deeply subject to new economic and ecological constraints, the CAR PARKS 2.0 concept puts at the heart of the design and realization of public and private space, recycling, biodiversity and productivity of the site.

So, what is CAR PARKS 2.0?
It is rethinking the commercial
Parking area to make it an eco-responsible, productive, sustainable and more humane place.

1 - Evolve a sterile car park into a "clean" and "living" site.
• Reinventing the parking area into a resilient, autonomous and productive space
• Convert sterile coated soils from parking areas to growing areas and green spaces
• Recycle these asphalt areas in order to find the natural terrain to fertilize them, produce foodstuffs and reintroduce biodiversity

2 - Allow commercial zones to adapt to the environmental challenges of our time.
• Create new prospects for expansion, production and marketing especially for the agri-food sector
• Enable the retreat of automotive activity in its commercial areas and more generally in urban / peri-urban areas
• Assure a little more health and safety of people at the food and climate level

3 - Produce and feed.
• Produce quality fruits and vegetables throughout the year
• Create a real short circuit between the producer and the consumer and supply the hypermarket live without transport or intermediary
• Ultra local production allowing "zero packaging" of fruits and vegetables sold thereafter

4 - Generate human benefits.
• Promote soft mobility, the use of public transport and evolve in a healthier environment
• Create local green jobs and promote training and learning
• Reconnect man to nature and recreate the social bond between individuals

5 - Reintroducing and preserving biodiversity.
• Recreate a real ecosystem in an urban setting
• Allow recovery, retention and filtration of rainwater in natural ground
• Recycle and compost organic waste

6 - Generate income and be autonomous in energy.
• Sell quality food products
• Powering the hypermarket and the site energetically through energy production by solar panels and reselling the surplus electricity
• Rent and sell gardening spaces to people
